Aydan Özoguz is the first Turkish-German politician to hold a top position in the German government. Yesterday, on the 17th of December, she was appointed new State Secretary for Migration, Refugees and Integration. A perfect example of a successful New European, on today’s International Migrants Day. Her parents came to Germany as guest workers in the 1950’s.
