The Contribution of Ethnic Minority Firms to Innovation, Growth and Trade: An interview with Monder Ram

Professor Monder Ram is the Director of the Centre for Research in Ethnic Minority Entrepreneurship (CREME). He is a leading authority on small business and ethnic minority entrepreneurship research and has published widely on the subject, and has extensive experience of working in and acting as a consultant to small and ethnic minority businesses.

Together with a group of authors, Ram published a research report on the Value of Ethnic Minority Firms to UK economic activity and enterprise. The report, more specifically, focuses on the important contribution of Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic business owners to the economy in the UK.

On July 28, UNITEE interviewed professor Monder Ram. During the interview, Ram discusses the report’s findings and the importance of understanding the challenges that the ethnic minority business face and the importance of recognizing the contributions that they bring to the economy.
